Maldives Tourism Development Corporation Plc (MTDC) held their 2025 AGM on 31 August 2026 at Hotel Jen, Malé, shareholders approved a dividend of MVR 0.50 per share for the financial year 2025.
A recorded a net profit of USD 2.5 million for 2025, compared with USD 1.92 million in the previous year. Revenue stood at approximately USD 5.1 million, representing a 1.86 percent decline from USD 5.2 million recorded in 2024.
A significant portion of MTDC’s revenue is generated through lease payments from islands allocated for tourism development, including Kihavah Huravalhi and Magudhva.
The Maldives Securities Depository (MSD) supported the conduct of MTDC’s AGM through its AGM management service provided via FahiVote. FahiVote is MSD’s electronic AGM and voting platform, designed to support both physical and virtual shareholder participation and enable shareholders to cast their votes electronically.
During the AGM, 1,173 shareholders were represented through physical attendance and proxy representation, while 50 shareholders participated virtually, including representation through 42 proxies. This resulted in a total shareholder representation of 1,223 at the meeting.
