The Maldives Securities Depository (MSD) continues to support investors through its role as a Paying Agent, facilitating payments on behalf of issuers for securities listed on Viyana, the Maldives Stock Exchange’s private securities market.

As Paying Agent, MSD coordinates and processes payments due to investors in accordance with the terms of the respective securities. This includes issuing reminders to issuers ahead of scheduled payment dates and processing timelines, helping to ensure that investors receive payments due from issuers through an established and structured process.

MSD also acts as the central agency for collection of necessary account information related to paying agent functions including residency status, bank account information via infinity.mv as well as forms submitted to MSD physically.

Most recently, MSD processed the first profit payment of Reefside Sukuk Pvt Ltd’s Reefside Sukuk 01 (REEFS1) for all Sukuk holders by 18 August 2026. Such payments demonstrate the operational processes supporting securities offered through Viyana and provide investors with greater visibility on the servicing of their investments after issuance.

MSD also supports the processing of interim and final dividend payments announced by listed companies, contributing to the efficient distribution of shareholder entitlements.

Through its Paying Agent services and structured coordination with issuers, MSD plays an important role in supporting reliable payment processes and strengthening investor confidence in both private and public market investments in the Maldives.
